ReplyDeleteHi Rebecca,
ReplyDeleteWe got to introduce ourselves in class, but it was great to learn more about you through this post. I'm inspired by the goals you have for your students and wholeheartedly agree that creative outlets like art can be helpful for students who experience trauma and tragedy. As an aspiring English teacher, I hope to use creative writing as a means to help my students.
I'm also a pretty big Harry Potter fan! I actually got to go to Harry Potter World in Universal this past spring break with my family and had a blast! The butter beer was as delicious as expected.

Hi Rebecca! It was a great to learn more about you through your blog post and I look forward to reading more in the future. That's incredible that your school went for so long without an art teacher! Art is so essential, and study after study proves that students who have access to art education do better in school in almost every metric. Also, the picture of your cats is too precious.
